I also am in need of some sort of way to keep track of inventory for our Santa shop next year. We did this for the 1st time last December and it was fun...but I know we lost items/money because we did not have a clear way to keep track of what we had vs. what we should have.
We have about 500 students also at our K-2 school. We only use items that are $1.00 by purchasing at the $1.00 store itself, oriental trading, wholesale places online etc.
Roughly we go through about 5000 pieces. It averages to about 10 per student which seem to have worked for us. HTH

Can anyone give me some guidance as to how they purchase stock for their holiday shops? We are thinking of possible setiing up our own store this year but i ahve no clue how to start. Our school is K-6 with about 500 students. Can anyone share their ideas on ordering and obtaining merchandise for the store. Thanks so much for any help!
