Theme Week Help

Our school has done hat day/crazy hair day (silly hairstyles, spray-on hair color, etc) and also had each grade dress in one color (first grade could be red, second grade green, etc) -you could use the colors of the Olympic rings. If your school sells spirit wear or has school colors, you could have that as a day too - see how many kids will show their school spirit.

Have fun!

Hi everyone! First time poster...long time reader. Sorry...that was cheesy.

Anyhow, I am looking for ideas for elementary kids to do the week before our annual carnival. This year we are doing an Olympic/sport theme carnival. Of course we thought about having a red/white/blue day and also a day dedicated to your favorite sports team. But that leaves 3 days of the week that we still need to fill. I've hit a road block! When it comes to the Olympics all I can think of is the torch and the Olympic rings. I'd like to come up with something that will be more fun for the kids than just wearing a certain color to school.

I'd really appreciate any input! Thanks!
