Great Money Maker Fundraiser..

There are a few reasons. In my old school discrict there was a scandal because a representative used catalogues that had lingerie in it. Very inappropriate. So in that area, Avon had a bad reputation.

There are other ways to get Avon, so it may not be as appealing to some.

Another reason is that the PTA/PTO/PO get tons of colorful ads all the time. It's a sensory overload.

You can probably see from the boards that people like things they have done before or that someone they trust has done before.

Starting a good reputation and tradition are the best way to keep schools using a fundraiser again and refering it. Good luck with your endeavor.

Hello everyone, I am from Maine. I am not writing this as an ad, but I am an Independent Avon Representative, and My husband is a Magician. For the last month I have been sending out information packets about our fundraiser idea. Which I feel is great because its saving the school budget money for entertainment and they are also making money at the same time. Its an One sheet with about 6 choices of items to choose from, most popular items that families use all the time. 3 for $10-15.00, schools that have at least 100 students/teachers selling, with about 10-15 sales each gets them great earnings and a free magic show.
I was just curious, why No school hasnt tried the Avon fundraising? Are schools contracted with particular companies?
Before deciding to go into An Avon Fundraiser, I asked allot of my customers would they buy if students were offering this. I got allot of replies, like " I hate candles and I feel obligated to buy it" wrapping paper is too much money..and I showed them my ordering form that the schools would use, and they loved it, said, its stuff we all buy all the time and or we know someone we can buy it for..
I guess my question is, Does the committee book a year in advance for fundraising or do they plan it as the year goes on?
But if anyone would like to see what I send out I can email it to you and maybe you can give me some pointers? I have even said I would do the end work, putting the orders together if time or staffing was an issue. Thats in Maine of course..lol..

Thanks a million
