Now you know that you can't assume that every school operates with just one fundraiser in the fall and one in the spring. With some, it's one after the other. If you aren't happy about it, you don't have to participate but you may first want to educate yourself on what the money raised is going towards before you go storming into a PTO meeting.
I am the PTO president at my daughters preschool. We do one fall and one spring fundraiser. This way there isnt too much going on at once.
Well they did a fundraiser at my sons school at the beginning of the school year. It was all turned in around the middle of Sept and I figured great his fall fundraiser is out of the way and I can concentrate on my daughters in October.
Oh no..not the way it worked. I was appauled that yesterday my son came home with yet another fundraiser. I swear I can not hit my friends and family up again for this one, his cub scout one and the one my daughter is doing this month.
Am I crazy to feel these two fundraisers were way to close to each other. I want to go to the next PTO meeting and vent my fustration about this. I am honestly thinking I am not going to sell and just send a direct donation to the PTO this way they get the full amount and I dont have to feel the pressure to sell!
