I started to collect the Capri Suns at our school and in just 3 weeks I have collected over 2,800 pouches. The last week of school before winter break wasn't that good for me, since we average about 200 pouches per day.
You actually haven't had to send the pouches in clean for over a year but I don't let our school families know that. We collect ours from families through our Cash for Trash progrm, Box Tops, Campbell's, etc. so these come to the school and then home with clippers. If someone only sent in every few months, they would not only smell bad but be downright disgusting. I tell my clippers that if they aren't clean, throw them away.
I found one thing that helps is to buy the products made from the pouches and I posted them on my Cash for Trash board. The students thought they were the coolest thing ever and it increased our submissions.
We have had success, BUT if you do not keep up on them it get stinky and messy. You need to remove straws cut open rinse and dry before submitting. So if willing to put in the effort it can be successful Good Luck.
