Check out Logo Pride Apparel: Custom Embroidery Clothing - Free Fundraising Website for School, Church, Organization or Company - you can get a free website for logo apparel fundraising to which you can link from the school's website AND advertise in PTO/PTA newsletters. The quality of the clothing is great and you earn $2 per item sold. You can enroll online in 5 minutes and it is free. They can also do bulk orders, if you are interested in that, as well.

We use 4imprint Promotional Products, Promotional Items, Advertising Specialties and Imprinted Promotional Products They are one of the biggest companies in the US and they have great prices. Also, you can save 10% off their prices by becoming a member of ABN (Alliance Business Network), which is free, just sign up at Discount Coupons on Business Supplies and Services - ABN Save.com

But the way you can really save money is to buy your clothing from a store that sells clothing wholesale and then bring it over to an embroiderer or a screenprinter who does contract screenprinting and have them decorate the clothing for you. However, that involves the time of driving back and forth to the screenprinter and also you may have to give them a design of what you want the clothing to look like. I generally search the designs for clothing on different websites and then bring one of those to the screenprinter. Please note that if you plan on doing this and your school has a special logo, it may make sense to pay a graphic artist the $30 - $40 to make your logo into vector art, and that way you will have it for the future.

If you are going to use this method (ie, buy the clothing and bring them to the screenprinter separately), I have found that the cheapest websites for the clothing are usually:

Wholesale Blank Shirts - JiffyShirts.com
Highland Apparel Company - Economical Apparel for Companies, Teams, Organizations and Individuals
Active Hats And Things: Discount Clothing, Discount Hats

In case you are wondering, I am the PTO President at a high school in New Jersey.

We've been using SPIRIT-WEAR for years and have been very pleased. They've been in buiness for over 50 years. We originally found them in the PTO Yellow Pages and are a pleasure to work with.

Not sure where in Oregon you are.

We have used Victory Prints in Silverton Oregon for many years and have always been pleased with them.
