Boxtops, campbell's lables and Target

Thanks. You can probably find others local to you. Some restaurants around here will donate a percentage of the day's profits when you provide waitstaff for the dinner meal.

For example, at a local BBQ place our teachers and PTO will help the regular wait staff by refilling drinks, hostessing, etc. We have a classroom contest with the winner being the teacher's class with the most number of students that show up for dinner gets a pizza party. We only do this twice a year though.

Wow, great list Texasbeth! We could use every dime we can get. I am going to check into your list. Right now we just do boxtops.

We quit Campbells soup labels because we just didn't get enough to make it worthwhile and you have to chose from their catalog for redemption.

We also have Spirit Nights involving local restaurants (Chick-Fil-A and Pappa John's Pizza) which isn't too much of a burden on parents to eat out once or twice a month if they want. My recomendation is to set it up for a variety of types of restaurants with one a week. Most will provide signage and stickers for the kids to take home. Then all you have to do is set up some sort of reminder system via email or phone tree, etc. For example, the last Tues of the month is ALWAYS Chick-Fil-A night at our school.

We recycle juice pouches, Elmer Glue sticks and ink jet cartridges with Terracycle. The kids love it! I prefer Terracycle to the other cartridge recycling companies because they take all types and pay the same for any brand (25 cents). It is easier on me.

You can also check with Paper Retriever. They put large green and yellow bins at the school for paper recycling. www.paperretriever.com/

Depending on where you are, grocery stores also have similar programs to Target. So does Office Depot. Direct TV even has a donation program. www.directv4schools.com/

I'm a firm believer in what I call "lazy" fundraising like this.

Tyson was NOT a big hit w/ our school~ not enough products was the feed back~ a new project we started was recycling w/ TerraCycle and Pepsi dream Machinew/Greenoplolis. Now that took off! Even the janitors and cafe ladies jumped on board. I would invite u to check there site(patience their web site is sometomes slow). Once u sign up for them you can also make your school your charty w/ an EIN # or tax excempt #. email me if u have any specific ?'s. The kids love the idea of going green~after all it is the future why not make money at it. If you really want to go all out and have the space cardboard and paper can also be recycled, check your local area or waste management.

Not specifically with those two, but we do a "taste" of our town that doesn't require selling.

We pick an night each month and a different restaurant and they donate to our school based on sales. We've done Wendy's, McDonalds, Culvers, Patio, Chipotle, Chili's and a couple local pizza places for example. It's been successful and only effort is getting the word and flyers out.

Trying to help out a friend who just took over the PTO at a small private school K-12. We are trying to setup some fundraisers that don't involve selling. We have setup the Target Take Charge program, boxtops, campbells lables, tyson lables and are looking into either Cartridges for Kids or Funding Factory. Are there any other programs that we may be missing out on? Also if anyone has had experience with CFK or FF I'd love to know how they worked out for you. Thanks!
