WE have mom2mom sales twice a year and did quite well at these...
We host a sale on a Saturday from 9-1pm-- we charge 1.00 to come in--
and we sell table space to sellers-- they could be vendors selling products like avon, tastefully simple, etc... and moms re-selling their gently used baby clothes, toys, cribs, high chairs etc... our table fee runs between 17-30.00 (30.00 for 2 6 ft. tables) or you could sell a space - and have them bring in their own tables....
We have over 700 people walk through the door the day of the sale-- over 100 tables available-- and we have a concession stand running during the sale...
There isn't too much work involved-- getting the word out about the sale-- there is a site called Mom2MomList -  Resale Lists & More! and you can get your sale listed-- if you live in Michigan-- there is a spot for out of town sales-- also papers-- cable station-- advertise your sale- we out fliers out as well-- Man hours aren't too much- and return is great -- over 5,000.00 for the 2 sales and you aren't taxing the parents to purchase anything-- you are offering a service for them to make some money while helping the school. It's a win-win for everyone involved.

We do Sonic Nights at our Neighborhood Sonic. The teachers volunteer to be carhops (we do it by grade level) and they get to keep the tips. They later are allowed to buy whatever they want for thier classrooms.

The manager also gives our school 10% of ALL sales (not just fliers) during the designated hours. We raise anywhere from $850-$1200 a MONTH doing this.

It is very little effort on our part - we recruit the teachers and make posters. Our principal runs a note in our weekly newsletter, and Sonic gives us stickers for the kids to wear home that night.

This is a great community building night and it's lots of fun1!

Restaurants nights are a great money maker-- you talk to the manager and set-up the day and time you would like some are 2 hours, some 3 some all day and most give10-15% of their sales during that given time. Then they send you a check once a month based on the sales totals. You can run raffles, contests, etc.. during nights to get more interest...

Market Day is a company that offers frozen foods for purchase. They have a nice selection of items such as frozen chicken, steak, potatoes, soup, pies, juices and more... they are a little pricey on some things, but great on others-- you can order once a month and the school gets 10% of all purchases--- they make the orders forms and you send them home with the kids... when the orders come back, you enter the order and submit it over to market day--
When the truck arrives at your school the day of pick-up... you have to unload the truck, sort all inventory, fill the orders and be there while your customers pick-up and pay=-- there is a rep from market day there to collect... anyone that doesn't pick up their order you have to place it in a freezer or fridge until they get it...

I uploaded the info on the file share under fundraising, "other". Everything was provided, catalogs, order forms, and prizes are customized depending on the school. All you really need to do is decide how long you want to run the fund raiser and maybe make up a flyer to get the students excited about it! After you collect all the order forms you would just submit them and your order will arrive 2-3 weeks. The orders are sorted so you don't need to sort anything, basically hand them out. Super easy! I've seen where the products get delivered to the class and the teachers give to the students or you can have a "pick up" night where the parents would pick up there order.

I think the jewelry would be a great fund raiser for the fall with the holidays!

HI, trying to come up with ideas for this next year, could you provide your contact information for the jewelery and how you ran/organized this fundraiser. Sounds like a great idea around the holidays
