thank you letters

Sandi - Here is a copy of the letter I have been sending - just inserting the address and actual donation. In addition, I purchased a bunch of Thank You notes and gave some to each class and asked the teachers to have the kids either all sign their first names or have each kid write one generic thank you note. I suggested they do this on raining days when they can't do out for recess or as an example of writing notes and such. I include a handwritten note by a kid with each of my letters. They are so cute and I have gotten some nice feedback about the personal touch.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you so much for your donation of the 2 tickets for admission to your production. It was very kind of you. Your donation will help to make our auction a success. The proceeds from our auction will be used to help create an enhanced learning environment for our children.

Your generosity will be noted in our Auction program as well as in The Canton Repository on April 21, 2002.

We appreciate you taking advantage of the opportunity to help our children "Reach for the Stars"!

Sincerely,

Tawny J. Burkhardt
