I would start by calling the Pres and telling her you would be happy to take this on and call people. Don't worry to much about it "being your place". It's YOUR PTO! I'm sure if you offer you won't be met with resistance! Offer to call the food committee chair and find out what needs to be done to get everything there by tomorrow so you can get your bags put together.

This sounds like someone dropped the ball, but you can pick it up and run with it!

Good luck, Sandy

our PTO is giving the children a party Friday night. I volunteer today to stuff the goody bags and was informed the president would not be there for the pary, they weren't sure if they were going to have enough cookies from the food committee, the VP wasn't there. No one knows what's going on! The have no idea about how many games or anything. The president has been there for five years and the bylaws state 2 max. The bylaws are very out dated however and they don't use those anymore.

As a volunteer mom anything I or other mom's could/should do to improve the communication? Is is really my place to try to call people to see if they are bringing anything?

help

Cindy
