McTeacher Night

We have one set-up with Chik-Fil-A and Fuddruckers but have seen Sweet Tomatoes, Joe's Crab Shack, Burger King, TGIFridays and I think Fazolis (can't remember).

I love the kind of fundraisers where you just call someone and set a date!

In our area, each school is allowed one McTeacher night per year but ours is different. We set a date and the hours are between 4-8pm, ANYONE who walks in or goes though the drive thru benefits our school. We earn 20% of ALL sales during those hours.

Then we set up two more "McDonalds Night" during the school year. That is where we ask for teacher/parent/student volunteers. We give out McDonalds night fundraising forms that have to accompany the orders and we earn 20% of the sales on the forms. That is usually a two hour event.

Also, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut do fundraising nights as well where we earn 20% of all sales that accompany a coupon from our school.

I think every teacher would rather eat than work LOL! But I think the kids would love to see their teacher doing some "manual" labor. It's always a big hit at our school. And since McD's is usually busy at that time, even those who just come for a burger and know nothing about it contribute! EVERY dollar is counted no matter if that person came for the fundraiser or to clog their arteries.

We do this at Wendy's. We get staff to come in and serve drinks and have one of them dress up as Wendy in a costume provided to us by Wendy's. It's always a big hit with the kids and we make alot from it over the year.

Oh! I get it! School staff goes to McyD's, the kids come to see the teachers behind the counter & the school gets paid!
I think our teachers prefer the idea of going to a local restraunt to eat, earning 10% for the school & not having to work :D

Thanks again Lisa!

I will try to get some info on it. What I know is that the staff works at McDonalds for 4 hours. I don't think they cook, but they man the registers, clean tables, and work the drive thru. I have never been able to go because I always have something else going that night. You might try calling some of your local ones and seeing if they do it.
