Restaurant Night Ideas Needed

18 years 3 weeks ago #86733 by Snookie
What exactly is involved with the MCDonald fundraiser? A family in our school lost their house to fire. We do not want to take away from the school but thought some "restaurant ideas" may be a good way to raise some money.
Papa Gino's and Pizza hut in RI do this ---was just wondering how MCD works?
Let me know if its worth calling my local McD's

I wish we had YOUR McD's in OUR area. We looked into doing a McD night, and they not only wanted staff behind the line serving (which they were willing to do), but they wanted other parents or staff members out in the lobby telling the other customers what they were doing for our school. We thought that the last part was way over the top, and decided to stick with Wendy's instead. Oh...and they were also only going to give us a percentage on DINE IN sales from our families & friends. NO drive thru or carry out orders.

You have it all wong about the McDonald's night--we do very well and we do not always have a good turnout from our school. You DON'T have to have a good turnout to profitable. You make money no matter who shows up! We split the months among volunteers who can show up and be there at the end to pick up the receipts. Some people to choose to come to every one of them and some people don't show up at all. This is a fundraiser that does not require alot of anything. We do VERY well! Good luck in whatever you decide! Our parents love this night out where the kids can play with their friends and they can socialize with the other parents!

I agree with the once a month being too much. This happened with a family night we do with a roller rink. What you might try if the dates are all set, only invite the school staff out. Sure a smaller turn out but they may look at it as something special just for them. Of course make sure it's close to a pay day!!!

I too learned you can have too much of a good thing!

I think the parents are getting burnt out from the ideas. I would trying doing every other month maybe or for now just not doing it for the next couple months.

Check with your local McDonalds! we do this fundraiser the 2nd Monday of every month and from 5-7pm we get 10% of ALL receipts collected not just from your own people but from ANYONE who comes inside for their food. Simple, easy--not requiring everyone to participate! We made $1000.00 on it last year and we will go way over that this year! Good luck!
