School Tool Box???

We've used EPI, The Write Stuff and Tool Box. THere are many other companies out there and they will try really hard to earn your buisness. It is true the earlier you start the process, the less expensive it is. Actually, its that you get a % kick back. Some companies will give you all the discounts even though its late in the procee just to earn your Buisness and if you make it seem like you would use them over and over, they will give you the discounts faster. With toolbox, on top of the % kick back that we are getting this year, which I think is 5%, they have another kick back, if you sell more than 50% of the enrollment of your school, which we did, you get another 3% kick back. Cash. If you want to take it in supplies, which we are, to give to kids that can't afford it or specifics that the teachers would like, you get 5% in supplies. We are gettin 687 this year in supplies and that is not including the 5% check and the $1 to $2 that gets added to the pack to round it up. We make them an even number. so if we pay 25.67 we go to 27.00. Now it does cost more than if you went shopping yourself. Depending if you really shop sales, it can be $7 more. And when people ask me I tell them the truth. But do they really want to go out searching from store to store for that yellow or orange folder that seems, everyone is looking for. It's a service and some people would rather save the time, gas, lunch out and the crowds. That's way worth more than $7 to me. I even put that in the reminder in our monthly newsletter.

Can you please tell me more about EZ School Supplies? It seems that the lead time is much shorter than that of School Toolbox.

We use EZSchoolsupplies.com. They are better, and offer purchasing online. Check them out.

We are doing this for the first time this year. The rep has replied to all of my e-mails very quickly. And there have been many! We are going to be rushed to get it done but, I think parents will really appreciate the service. I know I will!! This topic has been very informative. Keep them coming if you use this company.

We've used them for the past two or three years. Since I'm the secretary, I'm dealing with the company now. They do answer all emails in a timely matter, but we did have a problem with them dealing with a lost refund check. We never received the refund check in December, and it took until late February to receive it. Other than that, they've been okay.

The prices depend on when you place the intial order. So we ordered in December to get the best discount. The prices are from $14 to about $23 dollars. We told them to round up and add $2 to it so we could make some money. For us, its not the best fundraiser, we do it more as a service for the parents.

Actually, I'm thinking of selling some of the boxes at our open house. Carolyn e, how much was the return delivery fee? I'm trying to decide if its worth it or not. I think it might be worth it, because I did have parents come up to me last year wanting to buy a box.

Life is crazy as it is, that's why I don't watch soap operas!! <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

We used them last year and had nothing but problems. They told us a delivery date,(3 times they didn't show up) they finally showed up the day of meet the teacher(the day they were suppose to be in the classrooms.
it was a mess, they didn't even help unload the truck and not everything was in the nice neat little box and bags as promised.
they told us we could order extras and if they didn't sell we could return them, what they didn;t tell us is they would charge for the return delivery fee. (they didn't show up twice)
we actually lost money on this deal and lost hours of our time
ps they never returned calls or emails
really bad customer service.....
