I just ordered a cardboard treasure box from ORiental Tading and I am going to hang it on the wall at school and cut out some gold paper coins with every family who donates name on one coin.
Then I will send home a gold coin with each child from that family. The sign on top of the box says, Your donation is a Treasure to us.
Make a rainbow with the coins flowing into the box.
The class with the highest participation, gets an ice cream party in November.
You can also use the "Your Donation to our membership drive is the seeds to helping our PTO Grow" Make a tree on the wall or something fun with apples for the fall.

We don't send anything beyond our thank you letter stating that we are a 501(c)3 and they may be able to take a tax deduction for their donation.
One of our presidents once sent life savers to all of us, I thought that was cute!

Does anyone have creative ideas for thank yous for membership donations? We do not charge a membership fee. Just by being a parent, you are automatically a member of our parent group. However, we gladly accept donations. We just sent out donation envelopes and are starting to receive donations. In the spirit of our new "2 Hour Power," recognition and all that, I'd like to thank these donors. I'm currently sending Hershey's "hugs" to all committee/event chairs after completing larger tasks and short notes/emails to parents who complete their 2 hours. Any ideas for monetary donations? Our mascot is the "Stark Stars."
