Channel 1 in Middle School

17 years 7 months ago #104758 by Lucella
Channel 1 began when I was in middle school, and we were one of the first schools to have it. I have no experience w/it recently, but I do remember that it really made me aware of the world, and that it was greater than our small city. I can only speak for myself personally, and at that time, but for me, Channel 1 began a life-long love of politics & interest in world-wide events. Our teachers really used it as a tool, and it seems to have been worthwhile. Of course, this was blahblahblah years ago & I don't know how it has changed since.

I would like any feedback ~ positive or negative ~ regarding Channel 1 in schools. It is becoming a HUGE issue at our Middle School (grades 6-8), so any information is appreciated. thanks!
