Finding pieces of gold could be a great theme throughout the year..."Building our children's treasure chest". Members can put a piece of gold in a fake treasure chest for their grade and see who builds the biggest treasure...and some sort of incentive...every volunteer drops a piece of gold into their chest after an event...that sort of thing and you can display the treasure chests where all the parents can see (even if they are just drawing and tape on pieces of gold).
Winning groups could get little bags of gold chocolates.

Ladies--I'm incredibly busy right now but will think about your requests...so far I have Bees (nice ones), Pirates (did you do a search I could swear I did Pirates) and Thunder....anyone else can certainly chime in but here are 2 threads that have ideas...(don't think I've done bees (did Hornets) or Thunder).
All of my ideas revolve around team building and child building--so think on those lines...
