PTO President's Council/Forum, etc.

Our School district sets ours up-- each month all PTO president and any of their boards that want to come out , meet at a school from 9-11-12:00.
Each school signs up for 1 time, that way everyone sees the other schools in their district and no one school has to pick up the tab all the time for hosting.
WE have a continental type breakfast to start-- then the principal of the building talks a little, then our school board super intend talks about new things happening in the district, we also hear from other board members on topics and they answer any question we have have, then we go into run table-- where each school talks about what they are doing or what is coming up-- a great way to exchange ideas and thought about how events are run... works out pretty good- our last meeting in may is always held at the board office with a full breakfast as a thank you and most of the time some raffle items..

Our district has a Presidents Council.... the PTO Presidents from the 9 elementary and 3 Jr. High's meet once a month from 1:00 to 3:00 at the district Administration building. the first 15 min the Superintendent comes to give a brief update on any current issues.
Each month we have a speaker ....usually a Principle or the Head of a Department (Special Ed....) come and let us know whats happening at their school / make us aware of an new programs or issues. ( another 15 min). We allow another half hour for question and answer......The last hour is a closed session just for the PTO representives. If the President is unable to attend we encourage another board member to take their place. We discuss upcoming events,fundraisers,problems.....it a great way to share ideas and find out how other schools/PTO's do things...At the end of the meeting the Chair asks for ideas for next month's agenda......What forms we use for ways & Means (bring examples)....Nominating Procedures...Ideas for Back to School Events....
Ideas for Family Nights....Good Vendors/ Bad Vendors.....How do you plan a event.......
These are just a few examples of the topics of discussion.

If you have multiple districts in your school do the school presidents ever get together and meet? If so, how is that set-up? Is there an executive board that governs that group as well? What does that group do/discuss/keep participation active?

Thank you in advance!
