I am also in the process of starting a PTO in our school but we are transitioning from a PTA which makes it more complicated. Does anyone have tips on this? I just ordered the PTO Start-up Toolkit and plan to contact a local school that is a PTO.

Hi, I'm in the same boat as you. New Charter School = New PTO. I'm going to get the starter kit as well.

Which charter are you with? I'm at Imagine Schools and one of the PTO's in another state has been VERY helpful. Have you reached out to other school PTO's for assistance with starting up?

Get the Start-Up Toolkit from this site. I found it useful -- it was free for us, since we're Plus members.

Help! We are a brand new charter school, with a brand new PTO. We've taken a paper vote on whether to be PTO or PTA and PTO won. So now what?

Can you direct me somewhere that can provide a checklist of things to do and how to properly form a PTO?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
