On-Line Survey Form

I use Survey Monkey at work, with the report analysis and downloading piece and I LOVE it. I checked out the free versions of Survey Monkey and Zoomerang and a few others for PTO.

The one I decided to go with for PTO (free) surveys is Poll Daddy.

The Poll Daddy surveys don't have all the pretty graphics that SM and Zoomerang have, but they allow you to download the data into an excel file with the free version.

Just wanted to make everyone, who may not be, aware of a great on line survey form I found and used recently (although after the fact!)...

We always do a survey after our events. The survey's are normally in a paper format. This year, after the paper survey went home I was told about this site. To see how it works I input all the information from the paper survey into different survey's, that I created, on the site. It worked beautifully.

Depending on the number of results you are seeking and the format you want it in the cost goes from free to $200 a year. When I did it I broke the paper survey into different sections so each survey was free (under 10 questions) and could accept up to 100 responses per survey (also on the free survey). I couldn't print out the "reports" with the free process but I was able to see them, on line, in a bar graph format and print the entire web page. Not great but it certainly helped to clarify the results from the 80+ pieces of paper I had been trying to sort through. Had I been willing to invest $20 for the month the results would have been output differently in an assortment of graph types, etc.

I will certainly be using this site for future survey's since I can link it directly to our website and it formulates everything! Plus, I can include a note in the newsletter encouraging parents to do it and have the teachers include notes on their newsletters as well to help promote it. So, while I may end up paying $20 for the month for some surveys, it would save me 2 reams of paper and the time to sort through the answers which is WELL worth it, at least for me! And anything that can save time, money and resources I'm all for!
