What Do You Wish You'd Known About Being President

I wish I would have known this is as much work as a full-time job- I just don't get paid money for it. lol

It's going to be twice the amount of work you think it will be, but it will also be twice as rewarding. It is a LOT of hard work, but the smiles on the kids faces, as they dance at the first ever dance make it all worth it. Yes, my children share some of the burden. They are at the school more than they would like. Sometimes I don't have as much time with them as I would like. On the other hand, every teacher and staff member knows them. They get to see me at school everyday which they like. They know what's going on at the school before any of the other kids.
I wish that somebody had told me how to manage people and their schedules. There are a lot of personalities and you must quickly learn how to work with all of them. I also find it difficult to accommodate everybody's busy schedules.

Thought of another---

Didn't realize how much it would effect the kids....
They now know they have to come to most everything, set-up and help clean-up when there is no one else and when parents don't like what you do or say, it can effect the kids - because then they will not let their children will be friends and play with your child(ren)--

This one was a big downfall for me--

It's hard to get volunteers, but the show must go on and you end up working much harder than you thought you would have to.

Plus, if it goes wrong- you must fix it- even if the event isn't something you are working on.
Lastly, tough to get out of, once you are in....
