Great ideas about display cases! Another thought along the same line is: We take a ton of pictures. After any event with the kids we make a huge collage of pictures of all the kids and hang it in the lunch room. The kids (middle school) cannot wait for us to hang it. (yes we lose many of the pics, and that's ok) But from these ideas I think we will hang one at the office entrance too.
It is amazing how many kids you can fit onto a large piece of poster board. The kids pose for us now! I think it also promotes PTA activities among the students.
If you wind up only getting it for the alloted time frames, see if there is a wall near the entrance of the school that you can have to accomplish the same publicity!

That's a great idea about using the display case throughout the year to chronicle our activities!! Unfortunately, in our case, we share it with the school office. I "reserved" it for back to school time, and we usually get it before our school fair & at fundraising time. But since our principal confided that the staff person currently in charge of it hasn't shown much interest in maintaining it, I might lobby to have us be responsible.
Wouldn't it be great if you could keep the display case going all through the year - like a scapbook in action!
This would be lots of fun and would need to be constantly changing and adding to, since we all know the PTA/PTA group is always doing things and never seems to slow down.
There are some really great ideas here!! We're doing something I don't see here -- we have a display case in the entry hall & we're going to decorate it with examples of what PTO does. Make sure as many people as possible know exactly what PTA/PTO does!!
