at our school we print a calender for the year. the front is covered with a border made up of some of the childrens drawings (one to represent wach month.). Then each month has four drawings that have something to do with that month. Then all of our activities such as when our fundraier starts, school pictures which days our chips and ice cream are sold, skate nights, mcdonalds night and so on. The way we distribute them is the first 300 people to join the PTA get one. This works out very well. Hope this answers yoour question.

We have 2 different calendars.
The district publishes one that has events from all 3 elementary schools and the middle and high school. Included are School Board mtgs, PTO mtgs from the various schools, school holidays, conferences, etc...
This year it was expanded & is pretty sharp.

Our PTO lists all our events & activities and all the PTO mtgs on a list that also includes the PTO officers' names & numbers. This is included in the membership packet everyone receives at the beginning of the year.

I love intomykids' idea of including the one-page calendar in the directory!

We have traditionally printed a calendar and given it out. It is 8 1/2 x 11 with a month on both sides of the paper and wire bound. On the calendar are all holidays, min days, ptc meetings, conferences, etc.

This year we have decided to incorporate a one page calendar into our school directory.

I heard that some of the schools in our area are handing out calendars to PTO members. Do any of you do this? What are some of the pitfalls? How is it best done?
