I just became the new President of a middle school PTSC last night. New officers were elected (there were none before - except for the previous President).

Where do I start? We are going to put together some bylaws. Then we are going to contact some companies and get information on fundraisers. In March we will be having the students and parents complete a survey on what they would like to see for PTSC involvement.

Is there anything we are forgetting that we need to start working on?

What fundraisers work for middle school students (6th, 7th, and 8th grades)?

What activities should PTSC support for middle school students? The old PTSC had monthly dances for the students. Out of 850 kids only 200 would show up. What do I do to get the rest of the students involved?

I have held the Vice President and Secretary positions in previous organizations. This is my first President position. I need all the help I can get. Thanks!!
