We are having a Welcome Braekfast for K and new families, next Friday. It is our first try at this type of thing. We are serving coffee, juice, fruit, muffins and bagels. My plan is to have drawings for prizes (school shirts, hats & blankets) and give each attendee a "note to school" notepad. We are just going to circulate and try to get parents excited about the volunteer opportunities at school, plus give them some face time with the administration and PTA Board.

That is a great idea. It is always nice to have the names of all of the kids available. I had something to add to that- how about a picture of the class. I've seen greeting cards that you can insert a picture into- you could print the class list on the inside. With the 12 cent prints @ Walmart you could do this pretty inexpensively.

To kind of add to this post a little- I had hoped to do a Boo Hoo breakfast, but could not get enough support for it in time. Does anyone else do one a little later like this? We have some new parents w/our Kindergarten class & this sounds like a good way to get to meet them. ( & possibly recruit them, too!)

This year our K-4 building is hosting a Kindergarten coffee. We'd like to give a small memento to each mom that attends. One suggestion was to print each class list on a pretty piece of card stock. It's Oct. 3rd! So we don't have much time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
