We are a brand new PTO and have no clue where to begin. I hear alot of talk about having a business sponsor your school, does anyone know how to go about this? Also, We need some ideas on how to raise money for the PTO. We already had a fundraiser that bombed because alot of kids never returned their money and /or they returned the candy. So we're stuck with alot of candy and we didn't even profit off the candy-selling. we are planning a elegance dance which is being renamed for father/daughter dance. But dances don't seem to be a big money-maker. can anyone give us some ideas. We are from a 90%low-poverty community, so it is real tough.
