Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and the family that won the Leapster was thrilled.

I am new at this so can someone give me info on the leapster raffle, how do you get started and how and where do we get the Kindergarten tip, the flat earth crisps and the jump in mags? I need all the help I can get, have a Principal who doesn't want us to have anything but it's a new year!!!!!!!!!

bucksko, sorry I didn't get back here sooner. We had our teachers back to school lunch today provided by the PTO so I haven't had a chance to get back to you.

What we did was put the magazine/handouts into all of the kindergarten orientation packets (manilla folders) and also into our other grades first day of school packets. We handed out the crisps directly to all Kindergarteners as they were leaving the orientation to take home.

Also, just a note - we included the 4 AA batteries in with the Leapster we gave away. We all know how it is to get a gift that requires batteries that you don't have at home. We wanted to make sure we had a happy new kindergarten winner who could use their Leapster right away.

Is there a separate magazine for the Kindergarten program? I did get the magazine for the back2school 2007 program. I guess I need to go down to the school tomorrow and open the box with the Leapster! :D

Thanks for all the great ideas on what to do with the Leapster too - we were thinking of a $ ticket raffle with all monies going into new kindergarten stuff, but then the more I thought about it, it really isn't about $$ as much as it is about getting parents excited about the parent group at our school and getting more involved in their kids school stuff!

Couple steps there....

There was a sign-up period last spring. Then there was an email that went out late spring informing groups that were selected to get the magazines. Did you get that email?

Then there was an email that went out when the magazines shipped. (last few weeks). Did you get that one? That email included tracking number from UPS to track your shipment.

If you still need help after that, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and our great customer service folks can help you out.

I haven't gotten to school yet to pick up the leapster, but I do know that it is one box. Is that all I should be looking for at school or is there more? I just thought I'd ask here before I went on a massive scavenger hunt at my school!! ;) Also - just in case Rockne shows up in here...what do I do if I don't get the magazines?? :(

Thanks everyone for the info...

bobblehead - how did you hand out other giveaways (magazines and handouts)? Did you make up the packets using 2 pocket folders like suggested?
