Replacement for BooGrams

15 years 7 months ago #145895 by rlaneew
I like that idea, I made present that one for next year. I did check into the company that Jim suggested and while that option seems great, to buy all that we needed for the entire school it would have thrown our budget all to heck and back. We would have made our money back of course, so maybe that would also be a good idea for next year but I didn't want to mess with the budget and what we had already set to spend on grams. The making of the BooGrams were not as bad as everyone made them out to be...lol. I bought 1100 Tootsie Roll Pops and 1 large bag of white napkins and they are all made up and we are starting our 3 day of selling and as I knew we would, we are making a good amount of money on them.

In the past we having done pumpkin grams at our school. Parents and students can write a note that is attached to a die-cut pumpkin and then attached to a pencil (ours is black and orange with paw prints to go along with our mascot - the tiger). We charged $1 each, and sell out most years!

That might we worth looking into. We wouldn't mind charging 1.00 if need be. We charged 1.00 for our bunny grams last year, they were the large plastic easter eggs filled with wrapped candies. That is the hard thing about our school, we can't use candy like candy corns unless we could find single serving size bags of candy corn. We can't have open candy, it all has to be wrapped candy. We only charged .50 cents for the tootsie pops because of how cheap they are. We had a church donate several hundred of the normal sized plastic eggs so we are going to fill those with candy and only charge .50 cents for the bunny grams this year.

There are companies that sell chocolate pops and often they are holiday themed. We sell these at Valentines and they are roses. I believe that they have witches, ghosts, etc...

They come individually wrapped and there are various flavors. We charge a bit more than you are looking at though. $1, where 50 cents in profit.
