Hi, My name is Amber and I am going to be a senior in college and I am taking a summer course in order to have a middle school endorsement. I have to write a paper and I have a few questions to ask. If you have any comments or input at all I would really appreciate it and it would really me out while I am writing my paper.
1. What steps are taken in your schools in order to promote anti-bullying behaviors? And if a child is bullied, what services are offered in order to help them feel that school is a safe place for them again and in order to help them through the tough times.
2. Does your middle school have interdisciplinary teams (middle school grades split into two teams each with 4 or 5 teachers). If so, how does the school decide how to split up the children. And if not, would you prefer that your school have them?
3. Most schools are becoming more and more diverse, what is your school doing to promote and recognize the various cultures and backgrounds of the students?
4. What you say is the main difference you notice between when students enter middle school as sixth graders and when they graduate from middle as eighth graders and soon to be freshman?
