There was also a huge box of stoneware cups that were purchased about 35 years ago(according to the box they were in).

In true Iowan thinking here, can you use the cups for Appreciation week with a small gift inside? I love the keychain of downtown Des Moines my husband found while cleaning out a backroom when he was working at Merle Hay Mall several years ago. You are SO lucky they weren't thrown away and someone called ya!

We have one of the big drip coffee makers. We actually didn't know we had it until about 4 years ago when the janitor found it in a storage shed he was cleaning out so it could be demolished. There was also a huge box of stoneware cups that were purchased about 35 years ago(according to the box they were in). You never know what treasures you'll find stored away in some dark corner! It's a hassle to use the cups so I was thinking of a way to utilize them, but since they are so old and have some history because they were from the local Kresge(the forerunner to Kmart)I may chekc out their value at an antiques store. We may not have to do a fundraiser!?!
We use the coffe maker at our Boo-Hoo Breakfast but that's the only time and this year I'm just using it to provide heated water to make instant coffee and tea(I don't drink coffee either but love tea).

We have been asked to order our coffee needs threought the cafeteria at school or bring our own. Of course the school would rather we order in. The times we have offered coffee, maybe one or two cups were drank so we like to offer soda if we know a meeting is going to be long.

**I like the Starbucks idea. mom2m&a- do you talk to the manager? letter? Between Walgreens and Starbucks our corners are filling up in Denver :D .

We have 2 very large resturant stlye pots(200-250 cups each). When we hold events at our school we use these pots. When we hold events elsewhere(such as ice skating, swimm night, movie mornings) we bring in Dunkin Donuts boxes of Joe and hot chocolate.

I personally can't live without a box of Joe and an IV hooked up to me!

this may sound strange but we have nevered offer coffee, I think because I dont know how to make it..ha ha ha. seriously at Open House and Family events we usually go with juice, cider, bottled water. We did hot chocolate the night of our holiday shop, for our meetings if we have anything it is usually different types of soda, ice tea and lemonade. We only do this at our first and last meetings of the year. I have found from experience that most people wont have anything except at these meetings, coffee might be nice at our first meeting though...hmmmmm. This year for the first time we are serving coffee, juice and donuts to parents the first day of school. Of course I am just serving since I have never made coffee....

We too have a couple of those large percolating type coffe makers. We just bring in our own coffee to make them and we do one with hot water for tea or hot choclate for certain events.
