Here's a few ideas that teacher's have conducted at our elementary school in the past years. They treat "100 day" pretty big at our school. The children are told to wear something with "100" on it (example: my kids paint stamped sweatshirts with 100 of their favorits things (my son trucks and my daughter butterflies) some girls put 100 clips in their hair etc). They were told to bring a collection of "100" things to school (example: marbles, legos, even Barbie shoes). They created a "100" book (coloring pages containing pictures of 100 items - blocks etc. and having them write their numbers to 100). The teacher also includes a picture of them from that day showing what they brought and wore. They created necklaces with "100" beads. This was done on the first grade level and later in the day it became show and tell for some of the other classes (especially Kindergarten) to stop by. Keep a look out to in some of those many catalogues that come through the schools around the time of 100 day they usually have little goodies for just such an occasion. Hope this helps. If you have any questions - just post and I'll check back again. Good Luck!

Looking for ideas for 100th Day Celebrations! Last year we held math games during recess on the playground, which went over well. We're not looking for evening activities (like Game Night) but rather other in-school activities to celebrate the day and relate it to Math. Last year we also held a giant coin jar collection (started at the onset of the school year) and awarded prizes for the best student guestimates on the 100th Day. Funds raised went toward purchases for the school math program. This year we don't need fundraising attached to the celebration. Ideas welcome!!
