Games for ice cream social

You could try a good game of Simon Says. This is a great game as you can go with as many children as you have. Possibly give a prize for each grade winner. One recomendation if you try a game such as this is to have many volunteers helping to eliminate players. I found that at our Harvest Party last year, when we tried a Monster Mash Freeze Game, that whenever the kids were eliminated they would find their way back onto the floor. I had 5 members helping and we still had this problem, so I'd make sure you have more like 10. Maybe after a few rounds of elimination you could bring those still in the game together to try to maintain good control. If you want to give a prize for each grade winner then at some point you could split them into different groups. For example, "Simon Says all second graders come over here", "Simon Says all third graders come over here", etc.

Hope this idea helps.

Good luck,

How about a "Rock, Paper, Scissor" contest. Just put kids in groups of 10 maybe and narrow down to one winner. Keep doing that till you have all the top people from each group and have them go against each other...eventually you'll have ONE winner. Maybe as a prize you could give them a "rock, some paper, and a pair of scissors"
This is something you could have the parents do too!

Hi everyone....I am new here, and a new co-PTO president, so this is all new to me!!
We are having an ice cream social the first week of school as a "welcome back" thing. We are looking for some ideas for games we could do. Something where everyone feels welcome and could be done in large groups, or maybe a few small groups. Any suggestions would be welcome!!
Thanks again:)
