I can't seem to find it on a search. Do you happen to have the link to view how they did the breakfast? Thanks in advance!

I've never heard of the Pancakes and Snowflakes theme before. What a cute idea! I would love to try this with our PTS. Thank you for the suggestion.

That is a cute idea, a cold winter morning would be a great time to do this!! A nearby Kiwanas does a HUGE pancake festival each year so getting equipment might not be difficult!! We also have a dad, whose wife is VERY active in PTO that manages an IHOP!!
Like maybe the morning of our Local Christmas parade!!

We do a brunch at the end of each year for the kids "graduating"; leaving the elementary and going up to the middle school. Our district's food service works with us and we put our food order in a month ahead of the breakfast date. Our menu is pancakes, sausage links, small bagels, donuts, butter, cream cheese, orange juice and milk and we generally ask for one parent from each class to donate a fruit salad and always end up with more than enough!

Check with your district. I do know from reading some past posts that some districts food service group will work with PTO and other organizations that deal with the school but I've also seen where some might not.

If yours doesn't maybe you could approach your local fire department or Kiwanis club, anyone that puts on community pancake breakfasts, and ask them how renting equipment works, where you would go for info, etc. Another avenue could be to get in touch with your local grocery store to see if they might donate some food items.

What a super-cute idea! Good luck with it!;)

I was surfing the web last night looking for new ideas and I saw a school in the mid-west that posted a Pancakes & Snowflakes Breakfast. I thought it sounded great! We have never done a breakfast, but have been thinking about the Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom thing. We are a small elementary school with 255 students. For those that have done pancake breakfasts, do you get the pancakes donated or are you up at 6am pouring batter onto griddles? LOL Im going to see what event is in January or February that we can possibly tie into this. :) I just think its sounds cute :)
