Wow, it does sound like your school rocks! Appreciate you sharing your awesome family fun night ideas. I think that Salsa night sounds like so much fun. Which night has been the favorite so far?

Family Friday Fun Night was created by Jacquie Chavez
In 2010 I decided to start a monthly event that would get our famillies out of their homes off the coaches and be active for 1 hour in a family fun way. In May of 2010 I hosted my first family friday fun night and I called it "Family Friday Salsa Fun Night" i had a dipping salsa contest, so parents brought their best recepies, the PTA provided diffrent tortilla chips, I had a Salsa Dance Instructor give a free dance lesson, we had so much fun everyone wanted more. I decided to switch em up with a new theme every month. In September we had "Family Friday Fun Football Night" I had the local high school football team come to the school and teach the kids how to throw and catch a football, the ninbers donated little neff footballs for all the kids we had over 100 kids and parents show up. For October I did a "Family Friday Fright Night" and I turned one of our hallways into a "hauntedd hall way" and we played holloween music to dance to and played musical chairs to monster mash... so you get the idea, every month I have more and more people come to the events. Parents love it, kids love it, and I love doing it. It's a whole team that comes together to make it happen, thank you Longfellow for all your help with "Family Friday Fun Nights" Longfellow School in San Francisco you rock!
