Anybody doing something fun for spring break?

My oldest (16) is visiting relatives in another state. Yahoo!! Now the other 2 and I can have some peace and quiet and do some of the things they deserve. Sound awful? The oldest one is!

Robots would be good and the local video game shop (like GameWorks) that the kids can play at for a while.

Really looking forward to just me and the 2 younger ones!! :D

We have this week and then two weeks off. My spring break is this week for some of my classes.

Someday we will be able to afford a vacation, but this year I plan on sleeping late (if I have to tie them in the bed!) and going to a movie. Hopefully we will start seeing some buds and flowers and spring birds.

My kids' spring break is 2 weeks; next week is the second week. I'd planned to take them to Santa Barbara for a few days but they're supposed to have rain most of next week. The weather here in AZ is forecasted sunny and 70's, so I cancelled the reservations last night. Right now my plan is to drive down to Tucson and stay Sun-Wed since I already took vacation time. They have an awesome planetarium at U of A, and there are some good museums, and of course Old Tucson Studios. We have to go somewhere, if we stay home my house won't be recognizable past the first day. It's messy enough now.

We took an early vacation as well because of my husband's schedule. We always clean the first weekend-and we will be moving in a few months so this is prep time for that as well. Monday we are going to see Robots. Tuesday the bowling alley has a lunch and 3 hours of bowling special. Wednesday is McDonald's and playland. Thursday is the zoo and adjoining park. Friday is open because something always comes up. Saturday is my middle son's birthday party and Sunday is Easter, which seems to be a whole day of me cooking and sneaking around with eggs and the kids bouncing off the walls. Isn't it funny how it seems like a long time to have with the kids but at the same time, I'll blink and the school year will be over? Is there a time warp for PTO mom's that we think we have time to do stuff and then it's on us and it feels like your drowning in details!?!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Well Spring Break starts Monday and I'm not sure what to do with my boys this year. We took an early vacation to FL  and now we have to stay home. I'm thinking about making them clean their room! :D

Is anyone doing anything interesting?
