Nah...idle threat about retiring. I still have two more years as an elementary school mom. As long as people keep posting questions about $$, I'll keep popping in to add my two cents (that's a treasurer pun haha) [img]smile.gif[/img]

Michelle, I am glad I am not the only one that felt a twinge when Tim demoted us. That's ok, we'll make up for it.

Critter, you can't retire, I still have too much to learn from you. After being PTO Mom, I plan on being PTO teacher. So give us at least 30 more years. Gee, I will almost be old by then.

JHB says she not a lawyer, I think she missed her calling.

I love getting to share with people about this, hubby gives me a blank look anytime I mention organizing and parental involvement. Ya'll keep sharing and if you a newbie don't be shy! (Laney, I'm from KY )

This Forum is a virtual second home for me. I'm more an alum than anything else these days, but I still find myself checking it - usually once a day. But notice the timestamps on my posts are rarely in the midnight-3am range as they once used to be!! (Life AFTER presidency is sooo wonderful.)

For the most part, the members are so supportive and helpful! I've certainly benefitted from the many others generous enough to share their experiences. And heaven knows I've mellowed over the years. I'd probably be scared to go back and read some of my earlier posts. As I recall, I was probably heavy on the concepts of "501(c)(3) - let's formalize everything" and "of course the PTO is an INDEPENDENT organization".

Definitely more mellow now.

Yeah, I definately want out of the Carpel Tunnel club (I was on my way to being in the PTO hall of fame when Tim upped the cut off and made me a Carpel Tunnel Candidate instead)
