We got a no from Anaheim Ducks but we got tickets to LA Sparks and the minor leagues sent tickets too so far. Usually they don't reply until 30 days before your events but Lakers, Dodgers and the Angels have donated before. Hope they do so again this year.

There are a lot of whale watching places locally. We got several trips donated from various places.

Ice House comedy club and other comedy clubs will donate tickets too.

I forgot I did get 4 tickets to the Dodgers as well. I solicited every sports team even colleges and only the dodgers and Chivas donated. Most didn't even get back to me :(. Oh well there's always next year!

Thank you for your replies everyone. That list above is almost the same stuff we have for our auction as well. I got a TON of ideas off of this site. So happy I found it.

We just had the most successful silent auction our school has ever had. Thanks so much to this board for all the "outside the box" ideas. I got several donations by using the contact us form on the businesses website. And a few by using Groupon. I have a toddler at home so I wasn't able to do much face to face contact but I feel super successful just by doing almost everything by email and snail mail. We also had every class donate a basket and they were fabulous. And our teachers and Principal donated "teacher for the day" and Principal for the day, and outings with students. Looking forward to next year!

Hi,

Here's the link to the original Ultimate Donation List: www.ptotoday.com/boards/35-auctions/1512...timate-donation-list

It does have TONs of stuff in it!! You'll find many tips from the community on how to search and contact donors as well as how to manage your process.

Good luck!

There is also the old thread that has over 400 pages but there are good listings in there and ideas. Some of the addresses or links need updating but you can easily do a web search.

Another person and I already suggested amusement parks like Disneyland and Knott's and sports teams like Angels, Ducks, or Dodgers.

You can also google donation requests and cities.
