Question: fundraising restrictions?

Does the PTO has restrictive guidelines on how many times and for how long they have fundraising like the PTA does? Or is your fundraising non-restricted to raise money all year long if wanted?

PTOs are independent, so each group decides based on its own needs how much fundraising is appropriate. We recommend that groups only hold two or three major fundraisers a year so they can concentrate on other activities that build involvement. But that's just a recommendation, and we recognize there are times—raising money for a new playground, for example—when it makes sense to add more fundraisers.
