Question: School constantly fundraising for schools separate "general fund"
Does anyone know the law in reguards to the principal/teachers holding their own fundraisers and putting the money in the schools "general fund"...this fun is no way associated with the PTO...nor do we "the parents" ever get an explanation where this money is being spent!! Are principles allowed to use money from students..example: school dance, dress down day, tee shirt sales, to pay for teachers continuing education?? Is it the parents right to know what this "general fund" is being spent on?? There is maybe 1 PTO organized fundraiser every other month yet...the principle arranges these other events with her teachers for their funds?? Is this normal..seems not to be. The PTO
