Inexpensive Banners?

10 years 7 months ago #164381 by IngeniousParent
We bought some really nice banners from www.clingdom.com . They were also really helpful with a couple that we wanted to have customized. There is bunch of different stuff there that is nice and colorful and was of a great quality.Good Luck!

We have a wonderful parent who made an amazing banner for us using a section from a roll of canvas, grommets, stencils and spray paint. I flipped when I saw it because I thought she'd spent a ton of money having it made, and she just laughed and told me to relax, the cost for the materials was something like $15. It's little things like that that can make your day!

Our Donuts with Dad chair ordered a large vinyl banner from a business colleague. We got the impression he was given a discount. The banner is a bit larger than our PTOToday one, but it's only one color, very basic graphics (i.e. arial font, not art at all), and cost us $180! That's almost twice as much as the PTOToday banners which are definately a good value.

We were pleasantly surprised by the flags and banners we ordered. The one we painted for our Craft Show was wonderful. Our president created it by using letters printed from the computer (full sheet of paper size)as stencils. The material is light enough that she could put the stencils behind it and trace. She did the same thing for several leaves and put a pumpkin and its vine in another corner. We painted using fabric paints. There are grommets so it was tied to the chain link fence that is near the road at the school.
One of these days, I need to find time to get the rest finished, since it was my bright idea to order so many for different events. Because there are so many, I printed out both the upper and lower case alphabet and laminated them for durability.
For our Cash for Trash flag, I want to put a replica of each of the items we collect also.

Avery now has a very easy sign and banner kit that you can purchase at the big box office stores.

www.avery.com/

They're a tad pricey (like $20) but they do the job and if you don't have the time to deal with a print shop - all you need is a good ink jet color printer.

They also have an option where you can make signs (like the election "vote for me" signs with the wires that stick in the ground).

Great for last minute publicity of a bake sale, dance or ??

Nice to hear, mykids. Thanks.

We've heard nothing but great things on these. Biggest trick is that it's hard to share via the web just how nice they are. I wish everyone could touch and feel them. They're really strong (long-lasting) and the colors jump. Glad you like. Enjoy.
