Hi Pam,
Sorry to hear all about this. You can technically run the board with the secretary and treasurer as along as one of those two can assume the key functions of the president -- at this point in the year, it would be setting agenda for remaining meetings, running those meetings, working with the treasurer to establish a preliminary budget (if it is customary for your group to do the budget in the spring) and set up elections. Do you have any spring events coming up? As long as there are chairs in place running those events, you should be all set.

If there is a volunteer willing to help out, you can have this person step up to a board position to help get you through the remainder of the year.

Do you need help with any specific tasks? For example, if you need help with elections, here's a good starting place: Frequently Asked Questions: How To Run an Election. If budgeting is a task ahead.

If next year's budget is a concern, here are some links: www.ptotoday.com/finance-and-budget

Please stay in touch and let us know if you have specific questions.

Hang in there!

So we need some advice on how and what we are supposed to do.

Early in the year we had our VP quit due to health concerns. We chose to not replace her role but absorb her duties.

Now our President is just quitting because we caught her doing things without approval and questioned her about it and she just quit and won't answer emails or phone.

So now we are down to treasurer and secretary, and wondering can we appoint someone for the last few months?

Can we run a board with just a secretary and treasurer?
what is our best course of action so we don't have to disband our organization???

thanks,
