Our school had are first walkathon in October. We are a K-2nd school and have about 420 students. we made over $16,000. This is a record for our PTO.
We had local business sponsor our t'shirts and had one for each student,teacher and volunteer. We had the businesses name printed on the back of the t'shirt.
As an incentive we had different level prizes with 3 grand place winners.
It was a great event. Easy clean up and parents were happy to help.

Would love to hear some experience and ideas on this topic. We have one scheduled this year and are just getting started on the planning. We have heard of schools making anywhere from $2000 to $10,000 in a matter of two hours or a whole day event.
