I've got it right here in front of me. Over 120 items are less than $10.00. Out of all of the fundraisers we have done, this by far is the best catalog with the best quality merchandise. We have had no problems and lots of praise from our parents for bringing a good product to our school. Compared to our previous company, Great American offers a much better overall program and product.

I think you need to look at this year's GAO catalogs. In the first seven spreads of pages, there are 55 items. 23 of them are $20 or more, another 15 of them are $15 or more, and only 9 of the mare $10 or less (that includes a roll of wrap and gift tags). How can anyone defend these high prices? My favorite is a nine oz. bag of cashews in a tin for $21. That is probably a 10 time mark up. You can see almost the identical item in other catalogs selling for $12.00. With high gas prices and housing problems, I think people will have a had time understanding these prices.

Great American offers a huge, bloated 64 page catalog with most of their gift items priced over $15. More expensive imports--a $30 tray and a tin of nuts for $20---just what we need! The ONLY reason they bought KB is to gain a sales force. Their was no other reason. I would take any guns and sharp objects away from your old KB reps. Once they work with Great American, they will discover this was not a match made in heaven! Great American has big plans to expand and become a huge power. Good luck!

As far as Sally Foster, they spend a small fortune on advertising, but again, how much $8 gift wrap does one person need. Their sales are normally much lower than local companies. I have found this out the hard way.

Middle Age Dad, your information is way off. The reason we did our sale with Great American was because of their lower prices and better valued merchandise. Over half of their items in the book are less than $10.00. Much higher quality items offered at good prices.

The rep is just a part of the company...it represents... the rep does not deliver the product, package the product nor handle customer service issues. Do not sicount the jobs of the 38 employees that just lost thier jobs. They make the sales reps look good or bad. The rep in this case has no track record with the new company...he/she cannot tell you if it is good or bad since he has no experience with this new company. So you have to look at this Great American as you would any other new company that you may consider. They are not KB plain and simple
As of 2 weeks ago that sales rep in certain areas that KB came up against great american was telling you why you should stay with KB why it was a great company and now they are telling you Great American is a great company...that is yet to be seen.
