I am also having a lot of problems with Scrip Advantage. We used them last year and had no problems. They currenly owe us about $3,000 and they said I will get an ACH posted by next Tuesday. We'll see. It has been a total nightmare dealing with them. 40 to 50 minutes on hold to have them tell me there is no update. I've been through 3 reps in 8 months, and I just found out last week that my current rep doesn't work there anymore. Question for bandboostermom - is there any chance that you will get your $1,000 from that other SCRIP company that went under? When I spoke with a manager last week, he assured me that they were totally solvent and that it was the "software upgrade" that was causing this chaos. Even if that is true, they should do a MUCH BETTER job communicating with their customers. Not just to put them on hold and never return calls!

C.Brooks if you ever find out I would love to know as well. We are considering "bobcat cards" the only company I have found that makes them is charging $5.00 a card. That is still nice profit, but...wow a $9.70 profit, I couldn't imagine. That would be a dream come true.

Our band boosters at the high school made their own discount cards one year. One of the members told me they cost .30 to make and they sold them for something like $10.00. I can't remember how they did it but they looked like the ones I've seen from big companies. I am not sure if that is the same thing as scrip. I have been on this forum for three or four years and still haven't figured out what that meant.

ScripAdvantage...what a nightmare recently. I've been administering the scrip program for our high school music program for 5 years. Changed to ScripAdvantage 2 years ago after our first provider sold out and stiffed us on over a thousand dollars of scrip. Flawless service until mid-July; but since then almost everything is on back order all the time...still waiting for scrip from 6 weeks ago. Several queries have assured me they're mid-stream in a software change, but it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Parents are mad, I'm frustrated, and what used to be a great fundraising vehicle has gone down the proverbial tubes. For now...go with someone else!!!

We're having a lot of trouble with ScripAdvantage. For 2 years they were fine, but I have not been able to get a complete order filled since August and sometimes I only get one item on an order of 10 or 15 things. Very disappointing. A second source I am using says that she sees tons of traffic from dissatisfied ScripAdvantage companies and I am wondering if they are having a cash flow problem....

Great Lakes Scrip sounds good. How long have been you using them? Are they reliable? Are there certain categories of scrip that tend to backordered frequently? Our school is looking to start a scrip program. Any thing you could share would be helpful.

Thanks...FH
