Help me! I am currently working on our Silent Auction and I also need a good donation letter and any positive and negative responses from companies. Our school is very small and I am afaraid if I do not get some input about the companies people have solicited I will end up wasted what little money our school has in returned mail or denied donations! PLEASE HELP!

I have a question regarding where to send the donation letters. Is it better to send the donation letter to the local business rather than the company headquarters? For example, the local Best Buy store in the town the school is located rather than the Best Buy headquarters.

Sure would love to hear some opinions.
