There are some strong opinions on the matter of charging membership dues or not. While lots of folks think it's a good idea, we tend to say, no, it isn't. Because it can create a real conflict inside a group. How can you ask parents to get involved and stay connected (ok, sometimes beg them) and then charge them to do so?
