Hi There,

This upcoming year will be my first year as president. We are in the process in revising our communications and website. Take a look: Home ?(pewaukeepto)?

We are trying to help ALL parents understand that once thir child enters school they are a member of the PTO and its not just the 8 of us on the board.

It has been many, many, many years since their has been any male involvement in our PTO (Board or Chairpeople) Last year we had 3!!

Communication is so important letting parents know what we are about other than fundraising and asking them to volunteer is our focus for first semester.

We have also created a promotions chair position. This person is not the recruiter but promoter to parents/staff and this year we're reaching out to the community (Common Council, Community groups, businesses, etc..) more showing our presense.

I was trying to get a jump start on next year. Does anyone have an introductory letter to tell the parents about the PTO and try to get them excited about joining?

Also, I would love to do a questionaire asking parents about what types of things they would like to see at the school, how is best to connect them (get email addresses & permission to email them), that kind of thing. Does anyone have one that they have used or can offer any suggestions?
