Teacher Appreciation

We did a "bring your teacher a flower" day. I went to our neighborhood grocery store (to give back for all their support) and gave the florist the date, they put single stem flowers at the front of the store w/ a sign (they sold out!). The PTO provided a vase in the morning, when the children all brought their flowers, they had a beautiful bouquet for the week! They LOVED it. We also did a complete take home dinner at the end of the 6 weeks period. We had the HR mom coordinate the meal for their class' teacher. Someone did an entree', another a side/salad, another a dessert, then they packaged it and gave it to the teachers at the end of the day. This too was a favorite for teachers and staff. I do need to note that our school has a Staff Appreciation Committee that coordinates these events throughout the year. Hope this was helpful.

We hired students from the "School of Massage" to come in (after school on an early dismissal day) for 2 hours and give 15 minute neck and shoulder (chair) massages. The Staff just loved the
treat !! I thought I would share this idea.
Any new ideas you would like to share would be much appreciated.
