MyKidsMom, truthfully you will need either 5 parents at all times or you will need 2 parents and 4 5th or 6th grade students (those numbers are assuming that you are not counting yourself...lol). It is a lot of work, no doubt about it. The easiest way I've found is to do the stock myself first. Open everybox. Set everything aside by item. Put items that are going to be grouped together on the table in boxes that will be placed under each table where those items will live during your store. Number the boxes on the flap that will face towards your volunteer force. On the table, put 3x5 cards (folded in half so they make a tent) and write the name of the item and the cost. Inside the card, put what box the stock is in. It will take a day or two to do this, depending on your volunteers. Set the cash box right at the door and only allow 10-15 students in at a time, again, depending on your volunteer force. Now comes the easy part... SELL SELL SELL! When the store is over, the stock will be easier to count because it is all in the correct area. Pack it right into the numbered boxes and seal them up. This part of the task requires as few as 2 adults and you can expect it to take one or possibly 2 days, depending on your volunteer force.

I had no breakage, no returned items, no parents screaming that the stuff was junk... You can still sign up and get an incentive prize if you hurry. You get your choice of a huge Bernie the Bear with a wagon full of toys(great for a raffle prize), or a percentage off your bill, or coupons to use as prizes prior to the sale. Your choice. I tell you, the stuff is nicer than anyone else has (for the price). I also added stuff from orientaltrading.com so that I had more .25 items. Those tattoo rings and necklaces were top sellers. I also sold those wax roses (cost: .50 each... sold for $1.50 each) and they also sold quickly. The nice thing about the roses is that if they don't sell out, they can be used as appreciation gifts for volunteers...
Anyways, talk to Matt. He is awesome! And tell him that Elizabeth from Manzanita Elementary School in Kingman told you to call... I don't think I get anything, but you never know...lol...
