Holy Cow! $27,000! Are you a private school? How large is your school? Did you offer any other events for the evening? Details please! What we could do with that large amount of money!

We always have each class create an art / craft project to auction off - the parents are great to bid on those items. I am having trouble coming up with an idea for the Jr High class this year - any ideas?

My hat is off to all you ladies who solicit! It's a tedious job but absolutely vital to the success of an auction. Our's is over and we grossed $27,000. Less than last year but we also had 100 less attendees due to fire marshall limit of room capacity. Keep on plugging at those companies and all your hard work will be rewarded. We also got alot of push back from companies about 'limiting their chariable work' and 'budget cuts' etc. We did get a $1000 grant from Target but that was mostly luck... being at the right place at the right time.

We also put in for stampin' up- hopefully we'll get something from them--- our raffle baskets are a little skimpy this year-- parents are not donating for this like they have in the past

mmailman, I just got their address on the website and sent them a letter on our school letter head. My package came pretty fast, and was filled with tons of stuff! Good Luck!
