As for Amtrak, I had to start calling the main office in Washington DC. Try the PR dept at 202-906-3967. We recieved a $50 gift card and it came at the last minute.

Kimme94 - Thank you for the info. I agree. Our silent auction is always very small and we are glad for any money we make. I will copy what you wrote, if you don't mind. However, I did call the phone number and was told there was no requirement to do anything with a Timeshare. I am guessing that is what you meant by the fact that they can decline. I appreciate your helpful information!

I don't know where you are located but I received a very nice donation from Comedy Sportz Club in Chicago. They gave us four tickets to their comedy show and a gift certificate for an improv class. The value was a total of $288.00. We are putting that together with other Chicago items and thought this might be fun.

Have any of you received your Chobani donation lately? We got ours today but the box was pretty much destroyed. The items were still inside the box (luckily) but last year they had included a lot of coupons...and this time there was only 1x $1.00 off coupon.

Seems strange to me...I thought that I'd ask here before I contact them.

Thanks!

Kadykel,

We used the Premier Cancun donation at our auction. We posted all the details:

They have donated accommodations for five days and four nights at either, The Laguna Suites Golf and Spa or the Ocean Spa Hotel for a family of four (two adults and two children under the age of 12). This trip does not include flight or any transportation costs. It also does not cover incidental expenses such as phone calls, taxes, food and beverages and/or any other personal expense or purchase. A reservation fee in the amount of $69USD per family must be paid at time of reservation as well as daily Mexican government taxes. During your stay you will be asked, but not required to enjoy a private viewing at the resort (approx. 90 minute) to familiarize yourself with all the amenities available to you during your vacation and the options for participation in one of the vacation ownership plans. Remember this is a free and clear donation to RCK... so please have an open mind. Expires 1/03/14 (we did this with all the trips we had donated).

The retail value of this donation was $600 and we had our starting bid at $100. We figured if we supply all the details and price the trip low, some $ is better than no $.

Good Luck!

Check the dates on the coffee bags - ours expire before the date of our event.

I also received the Premier Cancun certificate. I would love to be able to add this to our silent auction. I read all of the concerns and read the certificate closley. I am not worried about it not being an "all inclusive" certificate. That would be great, but we have never had anything to Cancun. I called the phone number and talked to the person who send the e-mail. She shared that the gift certificate was not tied to any time share presentation. I don't know if that is enough for me. I am anxiously looking for someone who actually used the gift certificate. Please direct me if anyone has any information.

Thanks!
